Devotional:
An orchestra produces beauty only when every musician tunes to the same standard and follows the same conductor. When each musician plays according to his own pitch, the result is not music but noise. The same is true in the life of a believer and in the life of a church. God has not called us to play our own tune. He has called us to align our lives with His Word, recognize His activity, and follow His leading even when it requires us to change direction. The question is never whether God is in tune with us. The question is always whether we are in tune with Him.

In what area of your life are you most tempted to insist on playing your own tune rather than following God's direction?
Practical Application:
Begin each morning this week by asking three questions before your day begins: Where is God at work around me? What does His Word say about my situation? Am I helping or hindering what He is doing? Allow those three questions to shape your decisions throughout the day.
